New Treatment for Urinary Incontinence

Dr. Tyler Adam now offers an innovative treatment for urinary and fecal incontinence called InterStim Therapy. InterStim is approved for the treatment of overactive bladder, urinary retention, and fecal incontinence in patients who have not found success with medications and physical therapy. This FDA approved procedure has provided symptom relief for over 100,000 patients worldwide.

Potential patients first undergo a test procedure to determine if InterStim Therapy will work for them. This procedure is done while the patient is awake, using local anesthesia, and takes about 10 minutes. Approximately 75% of patients will respond to the test and will be a candidate to proceed with long term therapy. Clinical studies have shown that InterStim Therapy is a safe procedure that provides significant long term benefits for patients. Additionally, most insurance payers, including Medicare, provide coverage for the procedure.

If you would like additional information, please call our office at 402-463-6793 to schedule an appointment with Dr. Tyler Adam to see if InterStim Therapy is the right choice for you.
